Just a quick one today - but important nonetheless.

For full-screen mobile placements in 2026, a 9:16 vertical version removes the need to rotate the phone and gives the creative more usable screen space.
To do this with a proper camera, there are 2 main methods:
- Use a photography tripod and film in portrait orientation (camera on it's side), then create a 9:16 video sequence and rotate the footage to fit.
- Use a video tripod, allowing for smooth pans and tilts, then crop the sequence in post. Then move each clip left and right to get the right framing. This method allows for a regular 16:9 aspect ratio version and a square or vertical version.
For a standard vertical delivery, export at 1080x1920 and keep important text and faces inside each platform's current safe zones.
